Our 1,300 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom farmhouse-style home is situated on 5 acres of private land with 235 acres in conservancy surrounding it. Enjoy the serene landscape and stunning views of the surrounding peaks from the valley floor. Our home's ideal location provides access to everything Ouray/Ridgway has to offer. Located 4 miles from downtown Ridgway, 6 miles from downtown Ouray and approximately 55 miles (just over an hour drive) from the town of Telluride it's the perfect base-camp for you San Juan Mountain Getaway!

Enjoy morning sunrises, evening sunsets, and breath-taking, elevated views from the fabulous upper deck. Our home features a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, a pellet stove and large flat screen TV (with Dish Network)in the main living space, a gas grill and a deck, and plenty of outdoor space and land to explore. This warm and inviting home is the perfect all-season getaway for families and friends alike.

The master bedroom features a comfortable king size bed and private bath offering a large corner Jacuzzi tub and two pedestal sinks.The main level offers 2 bedrooms and one full bath, each bedroom has a queen size bed.

While staying with us you can enjoy a range of area activities and nearby attractions including: as fishing, mountain biking, hiking, and boating at the Ridgway State Park and surrounding areas. Fairway Pines Golf Course located on Log Hill, about 25 minutes from our home, is a great option if you're interested in golfing while on vacation. Check out the Ridgway Area Trails (RAT) for adventurous mountain biking at ridgwaycolorado.com.

There is room to park up to three cars and one trailer up to 20' long.

This property is pet friendly and the pet fee is $25/per day (with a maximum fee of $150 per stay). There is also a 2 dog maximum with each weighing 20 pounds or less. Please do not let them roam or chase the wildlife.

Cancellation Policy: A payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 45 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within forty-five (45) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than forty-five (45) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

    The house is wonderfully situated on 23 and is very quiet and private. The road is great for walking or biking and the locations means an easy trip to Ridgway or Ouray (also right near the back road to Ouray).

    The upstairs has the master bedroom and bath and the downstairs has two additional bedrooms. There is comfortable furniture in the living space, great wifi and Verizon cell service.

    There are so many great places to visit in the area that each time we come we wish we had stayed longer.

    We usually book directly with owners but the management agency was wonderful to deal with. I had a minor issue while I was there and the agency was right on it.

    We had a wonderful time in Ouray staying at this property. There was plenty of parking. The kitchen set up was great for lots of cooking and they had every utensil I needed to cook with. The view is AMAZING and you feel like you’re on the perfect mountain getaway. The house is very old but they’ve done an amazing job of making it way cool old. It’s all updated but still has all the old charm. We would for sure stay there again. I had a few questions for the property management company and they answered them very quickly! They were great to work with. The only thing we would add to the vacay was a fire pit so we could enjoy the beautiful mountains outside in the evening with some s’mores:)

    Overall our stay was fantastic. The owner, Gary, came by and said hello, great guy! The herd of elk that visited 2X during our stay was AWESOME. Plenty of deer and elk right outside our door. Just a couple items for future that would have made the stay better: 1) Their is a wasp nest on the front porch, we were unable to sit out there and watch the wildlife. Probably should remove those little fellas! 2) Water pressure, especially the upstairs shower, was TERRIBLE. We spent most of our time hiking/running trails around Ouray, it would have been nice to come back to a decent shower. Water dribbled out and if someone in the house flushed a toilet or turned on another water source, forget it...

    We have rented several VRBO locations and this may be our favorite! The setting is incredible and the house is very clean and comfortable. It's a little ways from town but worth the drive, in our opinion. Will certainly try to stay at this property again in the future!

    This property was perfect for our family of 6. My husband and I and our kids, ages 17, 14, 11, and 7. Early mornings spent on the balcony or deck watching the elk and deer was the best experience. Loved being out of town but so close to both Ouray and Ridgway. The house was incredibly clean and the kitchen was well stocked and had absolutely everything we needed. We were very impressed and will definitely book this treasured spot again!
